Introduction
At Glide, we use cookies and similar technologies to keep our websites, portal and app working safely and smoothly.
This notice explains what these technologies are, why we use them and how you can control them.

In this notice, Glide means the Glide company that provides your service. This may include Glide Student & Residential Ltd, Glide Business Limited or Velocity1 Limited.
This notice should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, remember your choices and understand how people use the site.
Similar technologies can do similar things. These include local storage, session storage, software development kits, device identifiers, push notification tokens and tracking pixels.
We use the phrase cookies and similar technologies in this notice to cover all of these.
How we use cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- keep our website, portal and app secure
- remember your cookie choices
- protect forms from spam or abuse
- help you log in and use the portal
- manage registration, product selection and basket journeys
- support payments
- provide live chat or chatbot support
- understand how people use our public website, where consent has been given
- help us diagnose app or connectivity issues
- send service notifications, such as outage or planned maintenance alerts
We do not use all of these technologies in every Glide service. What we use depends on whether you are using our public website, portal or app.
Types of cookies and similar technologies we use
Necessary cookies and technologies
These are needed to make our website, portal or app work properly. They support important features such as security, session management, fraud prevention, registration, payments and service delivery.
You cannot switch these off through our cookie settings because the service would not work properly without them.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how people use our public website. For example, they help us see which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site and how the site is performing.
We only use these cookies where you have accepted analytics cookies.
Functional and support technologies
Some technologies help us provide extra features, such as live chat or chatbot support.
These technologies may help keep a chat session working during your visit or app session, route your request to the right team or pass relevant support information to our agents.
Where a functional or support technology is not needed to provide the service you have requested, we only use it where you have accepted it or where the law allows us to use it.
App technologies
Our app does not use browser cookies, but it does use similar technologies such as local storage, software development kits, device identifiers, diagnostic tools and push notification tokens.
These help the app work properly, support diagnostics and send important service updates.
