We are organising a football tournament on Saturday 11th August between Birmingham Business at the Birmingham Futsal Centre. It will start at 11am and will aim to be finished by 2pm.

It will be a 6-a-side tournament with a maximum of two substitutes. We are hoping for a minimum of £20 per player donation to the Cardiomyopathy Association.

Glide will pay the costs of the pitch, etc.

Following two games and two defeats for Glide FC we are entering as outright favourites! (All abilities are welcome … we are useless!)

Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle. It affects people of all ages and is often inherited. It is the number one cause of sudden death in under 35s. As many as one in 500 people is affected but many do not know. If it is diagnosed and treated, most go on to lead long and full lives. The Cardiomyopathy Association provides information and support to affected families. The association raises awareness of the condition among the public and the medical and nursing professions andcampaigns for more heart checks and gene tests for affected families to find those at risk and save lives.
