According to the latest research from Ofcom, broadband speeds are getting much, much faster.
Ofcom found the average broadband speed to be 9.0Mbit/s, 2.5 times the national average recorded just under four years ago in November 2008.
There’s even more good news for 96% of Glide customers. The main network we use, O2 Wholesale, provides the fastest average upload speeds among ADSL2+ packages, at 1.1 Mbit/s through its ‘up to’ 20/24Mbit/s service.
O2’s average download speeds also fare pretty well compared to other ADSL2+ packages. And, unlike other providers, they aren’t traffic shaped or artificially slowed down during peak times. So if you’re not on our O2 service, you might want to consider switching.
If all this talk of ‘bit/s’ and ‘speeds’ is making your brain hurt then suffice to say that through Glide you’ll get a robust, reliable broadband service.
