Thinking about changing your telecoms provider and not sure whether to stick or switch?

Well, our unbiased advice is to really think hard about staying with two of the biggest players in the market.

BT and Sky are about to hit customers with a double whammy of higher line rentals and higher call costs.

As reported on thinkbroadband.com, from January 2013 the cost of BT’s line rental will be more than £15 for the first time.

Sky has also announced an immediate increase from last Saturday to its line rental for new customers, which rises by 18% to £14.50 per month.

On the BT website there are details of the 5.9 per cent increase in call costs too (full information can be found here), which is also set to come into effect in January. Broadband and BT Vision prices are also set to rise.

We’re charging only £12.99 a month for line rental and we’re not planning to put our prices up in the new year, when a price rise is the last thing you need.
