The exams are finally over! Hurrah! And you’ve got just enough cash for one final blow out. The best way to celebrate? Here’s our mini guide to feel good post-exam fun.
1. The obvious way to let your hair down after all those weeks of stress is to hold one last house party before you move out. Make the most of cheap summer deals on Pimms and cider, throw a few sausages on a disposable barbeque and ask a mate to DJ. Try not to damage anything though; the last thing you want is to lose your deposits right at the death of the tenancy. Just in case, there’s an amazing cleaning tip for marks on furniture here.
2. Treat yourself – you deserve it! And nothing says exams are over like a shopping trip for a new dress/t-shirt/pair of shoes. Now that revision is a fading memory (quite literally), you’ll have time to step out in the sun and show off your new threads, no more hibernating in your bedroom.
3. Insatiable bookworms will relish the opportunity to read a book of their choosing for pleasure. That’s right, you’ve got time to read whatever you like! Push aside that dusty old textbook (or even better, stick it on eBay) and reach for the final Fifty Shades/the new Dan Brown novel/whatever takes your fancy.
4. Put on those new shoes and hit the tiles in your uni town one last time before everyone disperses for the summer. The Jaeger won’t be quite so free flowing when you’re back with mum and dad for twelve long weeks.
5. Waste some time. That’s right – WASTE TIME. Just because you can. Have a lie in, watch the Hollyoaks omnibus, look at old photos on Facebook, look through magazines you’ve already read, sit around chatting with housemates. It’s OK, no more guilty breaks, exams are so over.
