Last week Glide took part in the annual Great Pancake Party 2015 as we supported the Cardiomyopathy Association for the second year running.
Our feast began at around 12:30pm with a rather tasty homemade vegetable curry and a wonderfully flavoursome chilli, which was served up from our humble office kitchen to a hungry team of Gliders. Our lovely neighbours from Orb, also joined us from across the corridor to help support the cause.
After the first round of mouth-watering dishes came the main attraction…the pancakes! With a delightful array of toppings, the Glide team enjoyed their pancakes served with delicious combinations of Nutella, Fluff, peanut butter, fresh fruits, the classic lemon and sugar combo and lashings of golden syrup…yum!
Thanks to everyone who donated, our fundraising efforts came to a total of £341.25, which will go directly to the charity’s vital support services, to help families affected by cardiomyopathy.
The Cardiomyopathy Association provides information and support to families affected by this heart muscle disease, and are working hard to raise awareness of the condition and the need for improved specialist services to treat those affected.
So we’d like to thank those who organised and cooked especially for our office party, as well as those who came along and donated. Well done team!
