Yesterday was a very exciting day in the office for Gliders. Staff came into work to a surprise breakfast and desks filled with some exciting Glide goodies!
We were reliving the theme of our recent Away Day yesterday, which was all about fostering collaboration by bringing all Gliders together to work as a team and focus on where each other’s strengths could compliment one another. Although there was an important message behind the day, in true Glide style we had a lot of fun with it…
As we’re going through our busy summer season here at Glide, we thought it was time to remind everyone why now it’ s more important than ever to come together as a team and make sure we continue to make our customer’s lives simple.
We brought the Away Day experience into the office and started the day with bacon butties and sausage sarnies to get everyone fuelled for the day ahead. Glide branded-surprises had also been left on each desk which included Glide Top Trump cards, place cards for all staff who completed a Belbin report before the Away Day, a Glide Year Book and a personal report from our team leaders at the Army Reserves.
Fun and games followed with face painting sessions, a Glide Tug of War Tournament and Nerf Gun Challenge where Amazon and Starbucks vouchers were up for grabs. There was also a Bushtucker trial where our bravest members of staff were challenged to eat creepy crawlies…but thankfully they weren’t alive.
