Exciting times ahead for Glide as we join the CableCom group…

There’s big news from us here at Glide as we have recently become part of the CableCom group, which specialises in broadband, TV and telephony services for the student and landlord market.

Also amongst the group are Campus Life, the UK’s premier student communication specialist, who work with 85 of the UK’s leading higher education institutions. Collectively the group will now serve over 300,000 students across the UK.

It’s been an amazing journey for us at Glide – an idea that was originally born in the pub back in 2006 when James Villarreal and Sandeep Krishan, who were university students at the time, came up with an innovative solution to paying bills in shared households. Ten years later the business is now set to turn over £20m by the end of the year and we’ve grown into a workforce of over 70 employees.

We’re also proud to say that we were the first multi-tenant billing company in the UK, and we’ve been on a mission from day one to make students lives simpler when it comes to paying bills in shared households.

CEO of Glide, James Villarreal, will now join the CableCom board. He said: “This deal represents two massively complimentary companies coming together to create a new way for landlords and letting agents to manage their tenant’s bills.”
