As we are approaching our busy season, we are on the lookout for new additions to join our team!  We are filling a number of positions across the business such as Sales, Operations and Customer Service, where you’ll join a fun, sociable, relaxed but hard-working team!

Tara is our most recent Glider, who joined the team in February to lead our Marketing, so we thought we’d get a bit of feedback from Tara on her experience since joining us!

If you’d like to apply for a position please send your CV to jobs@glide.co.uk

How are you settling in here at Glide?

I feel like I have settled in really quickly, after my first week I already felt part of the team. It was great to experience such a welcoming environment surrounded by like-minded people, as it enabled me to get stuck into my role without worrying about having to fit in!

Tell us more about your team and the working environment?

It’s a pretty unique team at Glide, it’s a hard working environment whilst being a social one too, and it’s just the right balance! The Glide culture is super friendly and supportive which goes beyond the office. I knew Glide prides itself on its unique culture from research I had done prior to starting, but since joining Glide this is definitely evident! The office is also cool, not only are we based in the city centre and have amazing views of Birmingham, but we have a ping pong table and bean bags too. I personally don’t enjoy a quiet, robotic and micro-managed work place, which is why I am enjoying my time at Glide as it is the complete opposite of that!

What is the training like at Glide?

Prior to my start date, I was sent an induction time table which outlined areas of my role that would be covered in my first week! I was really impressed as this is something I haven’t received in previous employment and it gave me an insight into what to expect! From my first day, I had a plan in place which involved me getting to grips with how Glide do things, understand what each department does and the imperatives of my position! I also feel comfortable in asking questions if I don’t understand something.

What is your work load like?

Right from day one, I was given a lot of responsibility, which allowed me to make the role my own. I am never stuck for things to do and have always got something to keep me busy. We are launching one of our biggest campaigns yet this year, therefore I have been thrown straight in to execute this throughout the year, working closely with our branding agency, Orb! Having a heavy workload has forced me to learn quickly and allows me to maintain productivity.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of applying for a role at Glide?

Do it!! I applied for my role not knowing too much about Glide or whether I had the required experience. Then I did my research and it made me want to work for Glide more! Glide really value people, so if you have the right attitude then you’re the right person for the job. I guarantee you’ll love the people you’ll work with and enjoy coming to work each day. No two days are the same and you’ll begin to wonder how a working day can go so fast!

So, if you’re a fun, social and hardworking person and think you have what it takes to be a Glider please send your CV to jobs@glide.co.uk
