The new years here and it’s time to try and get through winter as quick as possible! Winter isn’t for everyone (or most people for that matter) so why not try some of these top tips to survive the bleakest period of the year!
Get some warm winter clothing!
It’s an obvious one but if you don’t wear the appropriate winter clothes the cold will catch up on you. You don’t wanna trudge through slushy wet pavement and drown your feet in cold water! It’s important to wear something warm and waterproof when getting winter footwear.
Also invest in a good scarf and gloves to save from freezing fingertips and all round. It’s best to dress cosily at winter.
Cook some winter delights!
Winter’s all about warm stodgy food such as soups and stews. Chuck in all the key ingredients and simmer until the ingredients fuse into a warm and lovely delight!
Remember… Just because it’s hearty doesn’t mean it has to be unhealthy for you, load in as many veggies as possible!
Get cosy in your house
What’s the point in facing the dropping temperatures of the outside world? You could just stay inside, get wrapped around a cosy blanket and watch your favourite shows or read a good book all snugged up!
Create a cosy house with extra blankets, candles, and put up some fairy lights just to lighten up your house during the darker hours of the day and night.
Whatever you do this winter make sure you wrap up warm, be careful in when travelling in the dark and have the best time you can whether its facing the cold or hibernating inside!
