As we head into our busy summer months, we’re expanding our awesome team across the business to cover various positions.

If you’re wondering what it’s like to work for us,  Glider Jordan from our B2C sales team has answered some questions to give you a real insight into what it’s like to work at Glide.

When did you join Glide?

I joined Glide on the 3rd of April 2018, approaching a year of being here.

What’s the best thing about working for Glide?

The best thing about working for Glide is definitely the culture. As well as getting the job done, we have fun at the same time taking part in various activities and games. With the World Cup on during the summer, the office was buzzing and it was just a great place to be.

What do you do day-to-day?

My job as a B2C Sales Executive is to sell our services to students in their uni house, deal with possible cancellations and also help with any sales related queries that our customers may have. Throughout the last few months, I have also been attending numerous housing fairs at universities across the country, talking to students about how can we make their uni experience easy when it comes to bills.

Top 3 moments at Glide?

One of my top 3 moments at Glide has to be our end of year Christmas party, where all 3 offices come together and have fun. It’s a great opportunity to have fun with colleagues and celebrate the year. Awards are also presented, which really shows that Glide recognise and reward talent.

I also loved our World Cup event last summer, each pod in the office represented a country and we all went head to head in various challenges which created a real buzz.

Another top moment was being the first sales person to achieve more than 30 sales within one day, that was a good day!

Tell us about the people?

Everyone here at Glide is friendly, hardworking and supportive. Some offices can be really corporate, but here at Glide, with around 100 members of staff in the summer, we still maintain a relaxed and friendly environment! The people here make it Glide such a great place to work. From my personal experience, I’ve made lots of friends who are still here and even those who are no longer here, I still keep in contact with.

What’s your next steps?

At Glide, the room for progression is huge. After being an Internal Sales Executive for a year, I’m about to lead a team of my own for our busy summer period and I’m keen to progress into a management role in the future.

Sound up your street?  if you fancy joining the team and would love to become a Glider yourself, send us your CV to jobs@glide.co.uk.
