The clocks have gone back, the dark nights are drawing in and your shared household bills have shot up. It can only mean one thing: winter is coming.
Don’t let the imminent cold nights drag your mood down. There are plenty of ways you can prepare for the upcoming months, so here are our Top 5 Tips…
Have cosy nights in:

Splash out a bit on your shared house bills once in a while, after all, that essay you just blagged means that you deserve it. Switch the heating on for a full evening, grab all your housemates and have a night in watching films or playing video games with snacks and blankets. Your immune system will probably thank you too!
Cook stodgy meals:

Turn your heating on:

When you share household bills, come up with a compromise that means you can turn your heating on for just a couple of hours each day.
Cut down the time spent in the shower:

When it’s a cold morning and you’re in a hot shower, it takes a lot of self-discipline to not stay there for 30 minutes straight. If everyone were to do it, then your shared house bills would increase significantly. Keep it to a maximum of 10-15minutes and your bank balance will look a lot healthier, you’ll be doing a good deed for the environment, and you’ll have more time to get your work done (or stay in bed a little longer!)
Make an investment in some good quality knitwear:
